Additional DEWALT D51321 Heavy-Duty 3/4-Inch to 1-3/4-Inch Coil Roofing Nailer Information

Fast, powerful, and intuitively designed, the DeWalt D51321 Coil Roofing Nailer is built to meet the serious demands of roofing professionals. This heavy-duty 3/4-inch to 1-3/4-inch coil nailer offers a cycle rate that lets you work as fast as you need to. A pneumatic-bias feed piston ensures consistent nail feed even when pressure fluctuates. This reduces the potential for skipping and jamming, saving you time, money, and frustration. If a bent fastener does get caught in the nose piece, a nose door with integrated jam clearing means that you get back to work fast. Nail loading is fast and easy too, with an easy-access side-load canister design. For task-specific performance, a unique nail height adjustment lever lets you find the perfect depth setting quickly and without tools. And at just 4.9 pounds with a durable magnesium housing, this tool is easy to handle for improved precision and less end-of-day fatigue.

This well-balanced tool provides improved safety, with a trigger lock-off that allows you to disable the trigger when the nailer is not in use and replaceable anti-skid pads that prevent the tool from sliding away from you on sloped roofs. And performing routine maintenance and cleaning of the feed piston area is simple with the easy access granted by a convenient hinged cover. Beyond the features that make this nailer so easy to use are a set of details that help ensure dependability and a long life, including durable carbide inserts in the contact trip foot and a double O-ring design that protects the feed piston. This DeWalt High Performance Industrial Tool is backed by a 3-year limited warranty.

What Customers Say About DEWALT D51321 Heavy-Duty 3/4-Inch to 1-3/4-Inch Coil Roofing Nailer:

I needed to shingle a large roof and this nail handled the job with no fuss. Easy to adjust for nail size and shingle guide. No problems encountered. Hope to not have to use it for at least 20 years.

I don't know how it would hold up for someone who had to use it everyday to put food on the table though (it felt a little flimsy). Again, I don't know if that's from the nails I was using, my technique, or the tool itself.

I bought this to roof a shed (2 squares) and to use when I get around to re-roofing my garage. Its pretty simple to operate.

First off, I'm not a roofer. These were easy to fix, but an aggravation.

I had a few of nails that didn't set completely, but I think that was more from my learning curve with the tool, than the tool itself. I also had a few misfires when the nails didn't feed properly.

For the price, it was definitely a good buy for me. That's why I gave it 4 stars.

i switched triggers before i used it to make it fire only when i pulled the trigger. bought this a month or two ago for a small roofing job on my house. couldn't get the hang of it that way so i put the bump trigger back on and it worked like a charm. at $142 new in box i couldn't pass it up. finally got to use it today and it worked great. only had a few nails that didn't go in the whole way, but from what i hear that is the case with most roofing nailers. if you're lokking for a tool to make your roofing projects go smoothly, give this one a try.

The easy pressure adjustments and rapid fire feature make this item a perfect fit for any amature or professional roofer. I just finished a 41 square roof with not one nail jam. I have nothing but good to say about the Dewalt D51321 Roofing Nailer that I purchased a couple of months ago. Plus you will not find this item cheaper anywhere else. That is approximately 9000 nails ran through the gun. I am not a professional roofer but with this gun I could get there. I know, I have searched the net for hours looking. Thanks again Amazon.com for your great prices and excellent service.

I have a couple of these, and both have 15000+ nails through them, with only one misfire (due to a bad nail). I have tried both trigger assemblies, and it does not matter which one is used.

So far, each gun has approximately 3000 nails through them, and already some very negative things have happened. I purchased two of these Dewalt roofing nailers, just about 3 weeks ago.

Not very efficient at all. First of all, both nailers have a double shot problem, that seems to be very consistant.

I would say that about every 15th nail, has to be pounded in with a hammer, and about every 20th shot, is a double nail, which also has to be pounded in with a hammer. If you are considering a roofing nailer, the only one I recommend is Bosch.

Spend a little more and get a Bosch.
